Inner Seal
Concrete Sealant
INNER SEAL is used to clean and seal concrete flooring, walls, blocks, pipes
or other concrete substrates. Where top coatings protect the top surface of
concrete, INNER SEAL solves the problems of concrete from the inside out. All
the action by INNER SEAL takes place deep down inside the concrete slab or structure,
instead or just on the surface.
When INNER SEAL is sprayed or poured on the surface, it soaks deep into the
concrete. When contact is made with the alkali in the concrete, it solidifies
into a gel, chemically changing the alkali forever. This gels flows in all directions,
filling the pores and hairline cracks, emulsifying any oil, acid, juice etc,
pushing it to the top to be washed away.
Benefits
- Permanently purge out residues in concrete.
- Penetrates to the interior side of the concrete and does not product
a visible film.
- Seals up concrete for strong protection.
- Easy to use and clean up.
- Environmentally friendly – water-based
Uses
- Solves the damaging problems caused by water, acid, oil or juice
penetration, as well as problems resulting from dusting, algae formation,
soft concrete, saponification (causes vinyl tiles, paint, polyurethane and
epoxy coatings to peel off), or simple concrete deterioration.
- To penetrate inside of a deteriorating concrete surface to strengthen
the surface and seal the pores, thereby helping stop the surface from further
deterioration.
- To clean soiled concrete and protect from further penetration.
Application
Although INNER SEAL can be applied by non-professionals, Superior Products Europe recommends using a certified applicator. Contact Superior Products Europe for details.
Preparation:
- Clean surface down to bare concrete, taking care to remove all oil, dirt,
dust, debris, or any other contaminants. Rinse surface well with water.
- Let concrete dry completely.
Application methods:
- Can be airless or paint pot sprayed, brushed, rolled, or hand poured. Spread
over the surface evenly with a squeegee.
Directions:
New concrete
- Apply at 2.45m2/liter
- Let sit for 4 hours to dry.
- Apply second coat at 2.45m2/liter
- Let set for 2 days and let seep into the concrete before using the surface
again. If any ponding is noticed, mop or clean to remove excess. If allowed
to set on surface it will form a layer similar to glass.
Old concrete
- Apply at 2.45m2/liter
- Let set for 12 hours to soak in.
- Power wash to remove accumulated residues.
- Allow concrete to dry. If any ponding of INNER SEAL is noticed, mop or
clean to remove excess. If allowed to set on surface it will cure to a glass-like
finish.
- Repeat coating and washing 2 additional times.
- If large amounts of residues are still lifting from concrete, repeat a
fourth time.
- Wash surface once per day until purging is complete. May take up to 7 days.
Temperature:
- Freezing: 0°C (32°F).
- Boiling: 110°C (230°F). No damage if frozen.
Limitations
- Cannot be applied over wet surfaces or when water is penetrating through
the surface. It is water-based and the surface must be dry for it to dry properly.
- It does not fill and seal cracks. It works on the interior side of the
surface.
- Can only be used with concrete surfaces, as the emulsion process requires
lime to activate.
